05/28/08 - Man Sentenced on Sexual Assualt
A Bradford man was sentenced Tuesday in McKean County Court on indecent assault charges involving a minor. 32 year-old Daniel Benner was sentenced to up to two years in jail after being found guilty of sexual contact with a nine year-old female.
Benner had been found guilty during a jury trial last November.

05/28/08 - Former Asst. Warden Sentenced
A former assistant warden at the McKean County jail has been placed two years probation by McKean County Court. 45 year-old Robert Windsor Jr. of Eldred had entered a no contest plea to charges that he took money from inmates accounts while he worked at the jail. Windsor was also ordered to repay the county restitution of $10,000 dollars.

05/28/08 - Men Hurt in Motorcycle Crashes
Two people are being treated for serious injuries after separate motorcycle accidents in Warren County. Police say 58-year-old Leland Riggs of Allegany, New york, was on Cobham Park Road when the bike left the road, hit a guard rail and rolled several times. 58-year-old John Riley of Seven Valley was traveling in Pittsfield Township when his motorcycle left the road and rolled over. Riggs and Riley were both taken to Hamot Medical Center in Erie.

05/28/08 - Three Hurt in Cameron County Crash
Three people suffered minor injuries in an accident at 2:20 this morning on Waldy Run Road in Cameron County. Police say 19-year-old Nathan Pott of Emporium got distracted and h is car went off the road, hit an embankment and rolled onto its roof. Pott and his passengers, William Whitehead and Gerald Lewis of Emporium fled the scene after the accident. Police say charges are pending.

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Tom Corbett today announced that agents from the Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, assisted by local police officers from across Erie County and the Pennsylvania State Police, are in the process of arresting 41 suspects linked to a nearly $5 million drug organization operating in and around Erie. Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
