Man Jailed After High-Speed Chase

A Cyclone man was sent to McKean County Jail after allegedly taking police on a high-speed chase Saturday morning.

Police say 31-year-old Nakia Scott fled from Bradford City Police officers and eventually ended up crashing his truck on West Washington Street, where it sheered off a utility pole, hit a garage and a parked car that was pushed into another vehicle.

Scott and his passengers, 21-year-old Andrew Kloss of Gifford, and 21-year-old Samuel Shonts of Ormsby, were taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

Scott was arraigned by District Judge Dom Cercone on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, DUI and numerous traffic violations. His bail was set at $25,000.
