Child Porn Bill Passes in House
HARRISBURG -- A bill to criminalize the viewing of child pornography — as opposed to possessing it — has passed the state House unanimously.
The legislation was developed in response to a state court case in which a defendant's conviction was overturned because he viewed the pictures but did not download them from his computer.
"Of all the crimes with which our society deals, crimes against children are the worst. I'm sorry that we even have to address it," said Rep. Thomas Murt, R-Montgomery.
