Guy Maybee Pleads Guilty

The Salamanca man accused of killing his 3-year-old daughter last March has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Guy Maybee entered the plea today in Cattaraugus County Court.

Ianna Maybee's injuries after her father beat her included a broken clavicle and ribs, a damaged spinal cord, severe bleeding in the right side of her brain, multiple bruises and internal bleeding.

Maybee will be sentenced on April 6.

I can only say that any person who could do such a thing to ANY child, let alone his own daughter, deserves any punishment handed down to him. There could be no punishment too severe for a crime such as this one.

I don't know how the Cattaraugus Police Department can sleep at night knowing that they knew nothing about handling a "homicide" case. The whole thing is suspicious to me and a "cover up" of their mistakes. Never was there any proper investigation of the home after the "homicide" took place. This should one day be a lifetime movie about small town law who were negligent and a innocent man has to suffer. And the fact that the media plays on looks alone. Shame on Guy for being genetically large and being an easy target to name "killer". I've known him his whole life and I know he still is not capable of this horrendous crime. And this plea bargain is not a statement of "i beat and killed my daughter" but some bad advice from a terrible tainted lawyer.

LET SEE THERES TWO ADULTS IN THE HOUSE WHEN THIS HAPPENED BUT ONLY ONE IS GOING TO PRISON. WHY? IS IT BECAUSE HE DIDNT HAVE A LAWYER INTERESTED IN THE CASE? IT SEEMS TO ME THAT IF THERES ONLY 2 ADULTS IN THE HOUSE WHEN THIS HAPPENED TO THIS CHILD. ONE OF THEM BEAT THIS CHILD WHILE THE OTHER WATCHED.SO THERE BOTH GUILTY.THE PERSON WATCHING DID NOTHING TO HELP THIS CHILD.MY OPINION IS THAT MR MAYBEE ISNT GETTING A FAIR SHAKE ON THIS.I THINK THERE SHOULD OF BEEN MORE OF INVESTIGATION.

Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
