Pennsylvania

Eric Higgins, Elk County Catholic High School

6’6” 225lbs. Tackle, Defensive End

Eric is going to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Eric’s honors include being named to the AML All-Stars. Eric is also a member of the National Honor Society. Eric was asked why he would like to play in the Raabe Classic and he stated, “It’s a real honor to be invited to play. Football is the best thing I have ever done and I will always want to play one more time.” Eric continued, speaking of his biggest thrill while playing football, “Making a sack is the biggest thrill I have ever felt while playing football.”

Jake Thompson, Ridgway High School

6’ 215lbs. Tackle, Defensive End/Nose Guard

Jake plans on being a heavy equipment mechanic after he graduates. Jake was asked why do you want to play in the Big 30 Game and he simply stated he just wants to play another game. His biggest thrill while playing came his sophomore year beating Kane. During Jake’s off time he enjoys hunting and fishing.

Mike Malizia, Cameron County High School

6’3” 200lbs. Tight End, Defensive End

Mike plans on attending Penn State Altoona in the fall. Mike’s honors include letter 4 years in football, 2 time AML All-Star, Olean Times Herald big 30 All-Star. Mike spoke of why he would like to play in the Big 30 game and he said, “Three of my brothers played (Joe, Tom, and John). Also, I would like to play one last high school football game in my life.” He continued on referring to his biggest thrill while playing, “After a big play was made on defense or offence, our fans went wild, also planting a quarterback in the ground.”

New York

Chris Erdmann, Randolph Central School

6’4” 210lbs. Tight End, Defensive End

Chris plans to attend a college and hopefully enter the field of engineering. Chris’s honors include; 2nd Team All-State, Big 30 All-Star, Post Journal 1st Team All-Star, and was selected as the Scholar Athlete of the week. Chris was asked why he would like to play in the Big 30 game and he stated, “I have heard from some people who have played in this game that it is a great experience. Also it is a great honor to be selected for this so I would love to play in the game.” Chris’s biggest thrill came when his team upset Maple Grove at Maple Grove to win the Section 6 championship.

Jude Pollock, Ellicottville Central School

6’ 215lbs. Tackle, Middle Linebacker

Jude would like to attend college and move out west. Jude’s honors include: Lineman of the Year in 2007 and 2008. 1st Team All-Star in 2007 and 2008 and was selected as the Defensive MVP. Jude was asked why he would like to play in the Big 30 game and he said “One last game to play and I love football it is my favorite sport.” Jude’s biggest thrill while playing football is making a tackle “I love Hitting”.

Troy Smith, West Valley Central School

6’ 185lbs. Tight End, Defensive End

Troy plans to attend SUNY Brockport and study Physical Education. Troy’s honors include; Roger Crandall Heart and Hustle Award, Sportsmanship Award, and is a Honor Roll student. Troy commented on playing in the Big 30 game, “Because it lets me play football one more time as well as represent my school and state.” Troy continued on in regards to his biggest thrill, “Playing in my team’s overtime win against Ellicottville this year.”
