Fuel Spill on Owens Way
Emergency personnel were called to a fuel spill on Owens Way near Georgia Pacific Saturday morning.
When Bradford Township Volunteer Fire Department Chief Dan Burkhouse arrived on the scene he found that a truck delivering to Georgia Pacific had ruptured its fuel tank while on the way to the facility.
About 10 firefighters used diking and absorbents to control the spill. Firefighters were called at about 3:40 a.m. They turned to cleanup over to a private crew at around 10 a.m.
The Bradford Township Police Department, McKean County Emergency Management Agency, PennDOT, DEP and Georgia Pacific management were also on the scene.
