McGinnis Marker on Mag Cover
The May edition of the Army magazine features the monument of a Clarion County solider who was killed in Iraq in December of 2006.
The white marble tombstone in Arlington National Cemetery marks the burial ground for Specialist Ross McGinnis.
McGinnis was 19-years-old when he hurled himself onto a grenade throw into his Humvee. Although he died of his injuries, he saved the lives of four other soldiers.
McGinnis was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest award for bravery.
He is a 2005 graduate of Keystone High School in Knox.
