Drug Sweep in Salamanca

11 people have been arrested in a drug sweep this morning in and around Salamanca.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force says the arrests follow a year-and-a-half long investigation into drug sales in the Salamanca area involving cocaine, crack cocaine, hydrocodone and LSD.

The people arrested are Donald Watson Jr., Allan Kettle, Joseph Dowdy, Samantha Miller, Andrew DuPont and Frank Jones, all of Salamanca; Christopher Downey of Kill Buck; Matthew Whipple of Little Valley, Kenneth Wilson of Great Valley; Donna Wulff of West Valley; and Bradley Kyler of Olean.

They've all been charged with criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance.

More than 50 police officers from the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, Salamanca Police, Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Department, New York State Police, Olean and Jamestown Police and DEA Task Force participated in the investigation.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
