Brookville Plant to Close

After lay offs and a temporary shut down, Trail King has decided to permanently close its Brookville operation effective October 31.

In March, the company laid off 120 people. In May, the company announced it would shut down the plant for three months. At that time, 101 people worked at Trail King.

In a news release, Trail King President Carol Lowe said the decision to close the Brookville plant wasn't taken lightly.

Work done at the Brookville operation will now be done at the company's North Dakota and South Dakota plants.

Trail King makes trailers ranging in load capacities from 6,000 pounds to 1 million pounds for the construction, transportation, agriculture, waste and recycling industries.
