Ex-SalamancaTeacher Sentenced
A former Salamanca teacher will spend the next 4 2/3 to 14 years in prison for sexually abusing two boys.
43-year-old Michael Dupont was sentenced Monday morning in Cattaraugus County Court after pleading guilty in April to two counts of sodomy.
On February 1, 2002, in Salamanca, he engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a boy who was younger than 15. The second incident, also with a boy younger than 15, happened in May of 2002.
Also, on January 22, 2007, in Salamanca, he showed indecent material on a computer to two other boys.
As part of the deal, Dupont must surrender his New York teaching license. He also has to pay a sex offender fee of $1,050.
