Flash Flood Watch in Effect

A flash flood watch is in effect until 10 o'clock tonight for McKean, Elk, Potter, Cameron, Warren and Clearfield counties.

Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected. One to 2 inches of rain is likely across portions of the watch area. Some areas may receive up to 2 ½ inches of additional rain.

Small streams and poor drainage areas could flood quickly where 1½ inches of rain falls quickly, or where 2 to 2 ½ inches falls over a two to three hour period.

News 4 Meteorologist Mike Cejka says "judging from recent radar trends, aside from a few very spotty light showers, the heavier rain has exited to the west of McKean into Warren County. Heavy rain will result in some standing water in poor drainage low spots across Warren and Chautauqua counties for the rest of the morning."
