Guilty Pleas in Catt County Court
An Olean woman has pleaded guilty to a number of charges related to an accident last November in Portville.
19-year-old Kelsey Layfield was indicted by a grand jury for operating a motor vehicle on a public highway in a manner that unreasonably interfered with the free and proper use of the highway. She also endangered the users of Route 417 and knowingly acted in a manner likely to injure a child younger than 17.
Court records indicate that when Layfield crossed into the opposite lane of travel, she hit two other vehicles and knew that a two-year-old was inside one of them.
She'll be sentenced October 19.
