Two 80-Year-Old Gowanda Men Die
Two 80-year-old Gowanda men are dead because of flooding Sunday and Monday.
Theodore Stitzel's body was recovered at 3:30 Monday morning.
Sheriff's deputies say he went out to check a bridge that goes to his barn and got caught up in the 3-foot floodwaters that swept him into a bridge abutment.
Later in the day, 80-year-old Floyd Farley suffered a heart attack and died in his basement when emergency personnel couldn't get to him through the flooded streets.
