Fireman Death Treated as Homicide

The death of a Clearfield County firefighter is being treated as a homicide by state police.

41-year-old Roy Westover Jr. died early Saturday morning after suffering a heart attack while responding to a fire at an abandoned building.

The fire is one of many suspicious blazes Clearfield County authorities are investigating.

Westover had been a member of the fire department for more than 20 years.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
