Man Charged With Megan's Law Violation

A convicted sex offender has been charged with violating Megan's Law. State Police say that 45 year-old Caleb Densmore moved from New York State to Shinglehouse and failed to notify police as madated by Megan's Law. Densmore is free on $10,000 bail.

Eldred Man Dies from Bull Attack

The Eldred man who was attacked by a bull on his family's farm Thursday night has died. ECMC officials say that 48 year-old Brenton Benson died Saturday at the Buffalo hospital of injuries sustained in the attack. Benson was attacked while feeding the cows on the farm. A female family member was also attacked by the bull and is in ECMC with serious injuries. The bull has since been euthanized.

BRMC Wins Suit Against Former Doctor

Bradford Regional Medical Center has won it's lawsuit against a former Bradford doctor. A McKean County Court has ruled that former hospital oncologist Edward Miskiel lied to BRMC about his problems with Medicare and Medicaid and his board certification. Miskiel had countersued the hospital for a bonus, which he sued that the medical center had failed to pay him. He had been relieved of his hospital practicing duties in 2006.

Power Restored in Bradford Township

Power was restored to Bradford Township customers Saturday afternoon after an outage which lasted over 24 hours and stretched into Saturday. Some 30 cusotmers were without power in Custer City Friday night after a power outage from a fallen tree. Penelec spokeswoman Linda Routzahn told WESB and The Hero that a downed tree which had knocked down a major power line on the Warren to Bradford line was the cause of all the power interurptions and outage Friday and Saturday.
