Pitt-Bradford Honors Staff Members

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford recognized 22 staff members celebrating service anniversaries at a dinner held at The Option House.

Suzanne Dittman, administrative assistant for athletics and recreational sports, was honored for 35 years of service. She began working at Pitt-Bradford in 1974 when Swarts Hall first opened. She was the switchboard operator and secretary for the Humanities Division before beginning work for student affairs and athletics. Dittman has taught exercise classes for many years and is frequently sighted around town.

Peter Buchheit, director of facilities management, was honored for 30 years of service. In 2008, University of Pittsburgh Chancellor honored Buchheit as one of four university-wide recipients of the Chancellor’s Award for Staff Excellence in Service in the Community. In addition to overseeing upkeep of Pitt-Bradford building and grounds, Buchheit has supervised more than a dozen construction and major renovation projects on campus.

William Kline, director of desktop/user services, was honored for 25 years of service. He began working as a student at Pitt-Bradford in 1980 and was hired, full-time, as a computer lab operator in 1984.

Robert C. Dilks Jr., director of transfer and nontraditional student recruitment, and Pierre C. Gregg, campus police officer, were honored for 20 years of service.

Honored for 10 years of service were Heidi Anderson, manager of purchasing; Michelle L. Buchholz, manager of advancement services; Patty M. Colosimo, assistant director of arts programming; Robert J. Ellison, senior technical analyst; Christina L. Graham, director of student activities; Melissa J. IbaƱez, director of financial aid; Alexander P. Nazemetz, director of admissions; and Dr. Leslie L. Rhinehart, director of counseling services.

Those honored for five years of service were Les A. Buhite, technical director of the Bromeley Family Theater and KOA Art Gallery; Patricia Demjan, lead academic advisor for the TRiO Educational Talent Search; Lisa Fitzsimmons, administrative assistant for the division of behavioral and social sciences; Robert E. Harris, maintenance worker II; Angela Honeck, head athletic trainer/clinical instructor; Marsha L. Munday, Panther Shop cashier; Denise D. Perkins, administrative assistant, residential life and housing; Amy Ward, web manager; and Deborah A. Woodley, financial aid counselor.
