This week's Big 30 Selections:

Pennsylvania

Hunter Bardo, Cameron County High School

6’ 180lbs. Running Back / Defensive End

Hunter plans on attending Slippery Rock University to major in Physical Therapy. Hunter’s honors include: 2009 Most Valuable Wrestler, 2010 Most Outstanding Wrestler, 2009 Most Improved Track Athlete, and 2009 Coach Simon Award in Football. Hunter said about the game, “I would like to help earn money for a very good charity and get another chance to play football.” Hunter’s biggest thrill came when he kicked the winning extra point against Curwensville.

Cody Nuzzo, Bradford Area High School

5’8” 175lbs. Receiver / Safety / Kicker / Punter

Cody will play football at California University of Pennsylvania majoring in Sports Medicine. Cody’s honors include: PA 2nd Team All-State, D9.com Special Teams Player of the Year for 2009 and 2010, Region 10 1st Team, Big 30 All Star in Football and Soccer, Honor Student at B.A.H.S. Cody said, “ My father (Alex) and my brother (Tim) had rewarding experiences with the “Big 30”. My father served on the Big 30 committee for 3 years and coached in the 1991 game. My brother played in the 2003 game. They have demonstrated to me the importance of giving back to the community.” Cody’s biggest thrill is setting the school records with 18 consecutive touchbacks in 2009 and 84 career PAT’s.

Ryan Bodamer, Port Allegany High School

5’10” 175lbs. Running Back / Safety

Ryan plans on attending either Gannon or Thiel University to continue his football career and major in accounting. Ultimately pursuing a job with the FBI. Ryan’s honors include; 2 time AML-North All-Star, 2 Time PA Football News All-State Team Honorable Mention, Olean Times Herald Big 30 All Star. Ryan spoke about the Big 30 game, “I have been watching the game since I was a little kid and feel it is a big honor to participate in the game.”

New York

Kyle Ingalls, Bolivar-Richburg Central School

5’11” 170lbs. Quarterback / Defensive Back

Kyle plans on attending St. John Fisher University to major in accounting. Kyle’s honors include: Basketball: ACCA Tournament All-Star, Football: Livingston County All-Star, Baseball: BRCS Tournament All-Star, Big 30 All Star Team, Birds Eye Player of the Week, Birds Eye Player of the Year, New York State 1st Team All-Star. Kyle spoke about the game, “ I’m looking forward to participating in a life experience that I will never forget.” Kyle’s biggest thrill cam by winning a Section V Championship in 2007 and 2008.

Jeff Engels, West Valley Central School

6’2” 170lbs. Quarterback / Corner Back

Jeff plans on attending the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford to obtain a degree in Athletic Training. Jeff’s honors include: 1st Team All-Star, All Western New York Scholar Athlete Team Honorable Mention. Jeff was asked why he would like to play in the Big 30 game and he said, “It is an honor to play in such a big game.” When Jeff is not playing football he enjoys playing basketball and hanging with friends.

Brett Reynolds, Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School

5’8” 155lbs. Wide Receiver / Running Back / Free Safety

Brett plans to attend college and earn a degree in Physical Therapy. Brett’s honors include: 1st Team All-Star Catcher, Top Defensive Player in baseball, Coaches Award in baseball, Top Rookie Award, 1st Team All-Star Running Back. Brett said, “It is an honor to be chosen to represent New York State.” Brett’s biggest thrill in football comes when he scores a touchdown. In Brett’s time off from sports he enjoys Playing Call of Duty game, and traveling.

The 37th annual “Big 30 Don Raabe charities Classic” will be played Saturday August 7, 2010 at Parkway Field and on 1490 WESB, 100.1 The HERO and online at WESB.com.
