Paup Highlights Week's Big 30 Selections

This week's Big 30 selections:

Pennsylvania

Arie Paup, Kane Area High School

6’4” 215lbs. Wide Receiver / Defensive Back

Arie will be attending Duquesne University in the fall. Arie was an Athletic Scholar throughout his high school career. Arie was asked why he would like to play in the Big 30 game and he said, “This will be the last time on the field with some pretty talented dudes.” Arie’s biggest thrill while playing was winning back to back AML titles and having a fun senior year.

Brian Samick, St. Mary’s Area High School

6’1” 175lbs. Running Back / Corner

Brian plans on majoring in computer science at Edinboro University. In brains senior year he was named to the MAC All-Stars 2nd team for defensive. Brian spoke about the Big 30 Game, “It’s an opportunity that only comes by once, it’s a time to play the game I have worked hard at for 8 years with players who share the same passion as I do.” Brian also enjoys, snow boarding, paintball, hunting, and camping.

Curtis Delattre, Warren Area Senior High School

5’7” 150lbs. Running Back / Corner

Curtis plans on joining the United States Air Force in the fall and he is planning on being in the military police career field. Curtis was Captain of the football team, Defensive Player of the week, Captain of the wrestling team, honored with the 2009 “Stud” award for wrestling, 2 time regional qualifier in wrestling, 1st Team All-Region Defensive Back, 2nd Team All-Region wrestling in 2009. Curtis spoke of the Game, “To be able to play football again one more time and playing with new players I don’t know and make some new friends.”

New York

Justin Taylor, Portville High School

6’1” 215lbs. Fullback / Linebacker

Justin’s future plans are too attend Alfred University or Buffalo State to play football and major in Criminal Justice. Justin’s honors include; Big 30 Defensive Team, Big 30 1st Team in Baseball during the 2009 season, Wrestling Class A Champion, Expressway 1st Team in Baseball, Catt. County 1st Team All-Star. Justin Said about the game, “ I want to play fullback or linebacker. I would really like to play linebacker in the Big 30 game because that is where I’m a lot better.”

Eric Seeley, Allegany-Limestone Central School

6’1” 215lbs. Tight End / Middle Linebacker

Eric plans on attending college to major in Criminology. His honors include; Defensive Player of the Year for the 2008 and 2009 seasons, 1st Team Class C South in 2009, 2nd Team in 2008, and Class A Wrestling Champion in 2009 4th –place at State Qualifiers, 2008 – 2010 Expressway All-Star. Eric said, “Growing up it has always been a dream to play in the Big 30 game. I just love the game.

Jesse Howk, Pioneer Central School

5’9” 160lbs. Running Back / Defensive Back

Jesse plans on attending Alfred State in the fall for Building Trades. During Jesse’s senior year he won the Coach’s Award in football, and was the MVP in power lifting. Jesse said he wants to play one last game of football and the Big 30 gave him that chance. Jesse’s biggest thrill while playing is playing in front of a large crowd and rocking kids over the middle.
