Port Allegany Woman Hurt in Crash

A Port Allegany woman was hurt in a crash Friday afternoon on Route 49 in Harrison Township.

In a fax sent to WESB and The HERO, Coudersport-based State police say 27-year-old Janelle Kelley got distracted by the sun and steered her car into the shoulder of the road, then into a ditch, where it flipped onto its passenger side.

Kelley was taken to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport for treatment of minor injuries. A six-year-old boy in the car wasn’t hurt.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
