Salamanca Woman Facing Forgery Charge

A Salamanca woman is accused of using a debit card that had been reported stolen.

In an e-mail sent to WESB and The HERO, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies say 19-year-old Trisha Fernandez used the debit card and signed the owner’s name at Ron’s Smoke Shop in Carrollton. The card had been reported stolen from the Allegany American Legion on March 12.

Fernandez is charged with felony forgery and felony criminal possession of stolen property. Deputies say more arrests are pending after the completion of their investigation.
