Work to Re-Start on Route 6 in Galeton
Clearfield – Work on a Route 6 roadway improvement project will re-start on Monday, May 3. The project began late in 2009 and has carried over to the 2010 construction season.
IA Construction Corporation is the contractor on the $1.6 million project that will help preserve U.S. Route 6 in the Galeton area of Potter County. The work zone is along Route 6 in Galeton and stretches east to the Tioga County line.
Overall project work will include roadway repair and resurfacing, drainage improvements, guide rail updates and replacement of a stone wall with concrete barrier. All work will occur during daylight hours with lane restrictions in place. All work is weather dependent. PennDOT expects the job to be complete in early August.
