Cliffstar Being Sold to Soda Maker
Dunkirk juice manufacturer Cliffstar Corp. is being sold to Canadian soda maker Cott in a $500 million cash deal.
Cliffstar is the largest apple juice producer in the United States and one of the nation's leading private-label juice manufacturers and generates more than $650 million in sales a year.
Cliffstar’s chairman Stanley Starr says they don’t expect to cut their 1,200 employees across the county, including hundreds at its facilities in Dunkirk, Fredonia and Brocton.
The companies expect their integration to be finished by early next year.
