Senecas Call for Bloomberg's Resignation

The Seneca Nation of Indians is calling on New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to resign, and to apologize for derogatory and racist comments he made about the Senecas.

The Senecas passed a Tribal Council Resolution on Saturday condemning Bloomberg for remarks he made calling for Governor David Paterson to get tough on collecting taxes for cigarette sales on Indian territory.

Bloomberg told the New York Daily News Paterson could make a great video standing in the middle of the New York State Thruway wearing a cowboy hat and carrying shotgun saying, “This is the law of the land and we’re going to enforce the law.”

I think it was very disrespectful for Bloomberg to make such a statement against the Seneca Nation. I think NY state should just leave the Nation alone and find other ways to get out of the finacial diaster the elected officials have created!

I guess that it is ok to tell the govenor to get a hat and shot gun, and collect the taxes. It is like telling someone that is Jewish that Hitler needed to do a better job, or asking the KKK to take care of an African American Problem.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
