Fire Damages Homestead Hotel
An early morning fire did a quarter of a million dollars worth of damage to the Homestead Hotel building in Cameron County.
The fire was reported at just before 7 o’clock Saturday morning. Multiple fire departments from Cameron, Elk, McKean and Potter counties responded.
The building owned by John Price of New Bethlehem was severely damaged from combustion and collapse of the upper floors. The building was vacant at the time and there were no injuries.
State police and the Emporium Fire Department are continuing their investigation.
