Travel Advisory in Cattaraugus County

Cattaraugus County Sheriff Timothy Whitcomb has issued the following travel advisory:


Snow county wide has made travel conditions difficult and motorists are urged to use caution. Lake Effect Snow that is forecasted for today and tonight will make roads more treacherous in the northern portions of the county.

Unnecessary travel in these areas is not advised. Drivers should be aware of the possibility of sudden changes in road conditions due to the winter weather.

At this time, most roads in Cattaraugus County are snow covered and slippery. No roads are closed at this time.

This travel advisory is in effect until 6:00 a.m., Thursday, December 2, unless otherwise extended.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
