Bradford Comes Up Just Short

Bradford didn't win The Weather Channel's Toughest Weather City Tournament but, as Mayor Tom Riel just told us, we are the Toughest Weather City east of the Mississippi.

Even The Weather Channel said we're overachievers because they never expected us to go anywhere in the tournament. The final vote count was 29,837 for Fargo and 25,575 for Bradford. Respectable, considering Fargo's population is 105,000 and Bradford's is about 9,000.

The Weather Channel says, "The championship was really Fargo's only stern test." They got 54 percent of the vote against Bradford, but steamrolled their other competition by between 74 and 91 percent.

To get as far North as Fargo, ND., Bradford people would have to travel to Canada. But if you live in North Dakota you can place one foot in ND and the other in Canada. If you went out and shoveled every time it snowed this year, we all know who is the toughest! Bradford, McKean County, Pennsylvania

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
