South Avenue Detour Starts July 25

Slide repair work will close a section of South Avenue in Bradford starting Monday, July 25. South Avenue will be closed between Race Street and Maplewood Avenue.

A detour will be in place while work is performed. The detour uses Main Street, Forman Street, Elm Street Route 219, and Owens Way. Crews from PennDOT McKean County Maintenance will perform the work, which is scheduled to last through Friday, July 29.

Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits, follow detour signs, and always buckle up.

There are also at least two street signs missing from that general South Avenue area between Corydon St and Owens Way, as if the streets are now private driveways or courtyard drives.
