Pitt-Bradford Student in Court Today

The Pitt-Bradford student charged in connection to a fight on Main Street earlier his month was in district court today.

20-year-old Deng Deng of Pittsburgh was arraigned on misdemeanor counts of attempted simple assault and disorderly conduct as well as a summary offense of harassment.

In the early morning hours of October 7 Deng and 32-year-old Joseph Henton of Bradford, and a group of other people, were involved in a fight when Henton allegedly used a racial slur toward Deng and allegedly stabbed him and Esteban Santiago, another Pitt-Bradford student.

Henton is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, tampering with evidence, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.

Both men are free on bail and their preliminary hearings are scheduled for next month.
