Actors, Crew Sought for BLT Show

Both actors and technical crew are being sought for the next Bradford Little Theatre production, the comedy dinner theater show "Stay As Dead As You Are" by Lee Mueller. Directed by Kristin Asinger, the show will be presented April 20-22 at the Masonic Hall on South Avenue, Bradford.

For the production team, Asinger is looking for anyone interested in helping with publicity, set, props, sound, costumes, servers or stage crew. People can contact Kristin at kristin_asinger@yahoo.com or can come to auditions.

Auditions will be on Sunday, Feb. 26th from 3-5pm and Tuesday, Feb. 28th from 6:30-8pm at Bradford Little Theatre's new 79 Main St. offices. Perusal scripts are available at Bradford Public Library to be signed out for one day. Rehearsals will begin March 11.

In this play, Haldeman High School class of 1982 is having a class reunion and it goes bad, really bad!

With the same playwright and director as last year’s “I'm Getting Murdered in the Morning," the show, too, delivers quirky characters and comic moments.

“As I have been reading through the script, there have been so many ‘laugh out loud’ moments! I can't wait to get this production started -- even the rehearsals are going to be a blast! The characters are all so unique and funny."

A catered dinner will precede curtain; dessert will be served at intermission.

For more information, check the website at www.bradfordlittletheatre.org or the BLT Facebook page.

In addition to last year’s dinner theater, Asinger has been involved with performing on stage for many years, and serves as co-advisor of the improv troupe, Pitt Improvers.

This is the third offering of the non-profit community theater group’s “Fun Furious” 15th season.

Briefly, female characters include Babs Gleeson, reunion chair and former student leader, now a soccer mom; Gabrielle Fatelle, former gorgeous cheerleader gone to seed; Gertude Magillacutty, former wallflower turned knock-out; Vice Principal Schlepper, strict disciplinarian going senile; Sharona Pinter, rookie detective; and Ms. Sauerberger, cafeteria lunch lady. Male roles include Richard Alantra, star high school athlete and lady-killer; Melvin Wedgewood, nerd turned computer billionaire; Marty Budinski, class clown and life of the party; Guy Gleeson, perky husband to Babs and a graduate of a rival high school; Egbert Fink, school janitor; and Joe Mamet, 1940s-style detective.

Also, a disc jockey of either gender is needed, but has no lines to memorize.
