Final Beam of Hotel Framework Added

Construction crews at the Seneca Allegany Casino’s new hotel tower hoisted up the final beam of the framework this morning.

That milestone came several weeks ahead of schedule.

During a ceremony at the casino, Seneca Nation President Robert Odawi Porter said, “This ends an important phase in this project and is one more step in the economic sovereignty of the Seneca Nation of Indians.

The $53 million expansion project will add about 200 rooms, doubling the hotel’s capacity.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
