Log Truck Hits Kane House; Three Hurt
A house in Kane had to be demolished after a fully loaded log truck crashed through it Saturday morning.
State police say the truck driven by 39-year-old Thomas Jashurek of Kane was southbound on Route 66 near Old Mill Road when it went off the road for an unknown reason, sheared off a utility pole, hit a parked car and the front porch of a house owned by James Morgan, then slammed into a house owned by Bruce Peterson.
Peterson’s wife and daughter were treated at Kane Community Hospital for minor injuries, and then released. Jashurek was taken to UPMC Hamot, where he is in fair condition.
The house had to be demolished to get the truck out.
