Six more area seniors have accepted invitations to play in the 39th Annual Don Raabe Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic football game.

They are:

Mike Berardi
Wellsville Central School

Off: running back Def: safety
Height: 5’9” Weight: 180 lbs.

Mike plans to major in engineering at a school yet to be decided. Twice selected to the Olean Times Herald Big 30 Team, he was selected to New York Class C All State first team. Mike is also the Salutatorian of the Wellsville class of 2012. He is a fan of Fred Jackson and the Buffalo Bills. He wants to play in the Raabe Classic to join the club of elite people that have played in past games. Mike’s biggest thrill was being a part of winning Wellsville’s first sectional title in school history. His hobbies include gaming and bowling.

Mike Swartwood
Kane Area High School

Off: guard Def: end
Height: 5’9” Weight: 175 lbs.

Mike is undecided regarding future plans at this time but hopes to attend a four year college. He was an Allegany Mountain League all star in wrestling and football. Mike is excited to play in the Raabe Classic to play in one last game, meet new people and make lasting friends. His biggest thrill on the gridiron came in winning an overtime contest with Smethport his senior year. A Dallas Cowboys fan, Mike’s leisure time is spent hanging out with friends.

Zak Fisher
Ellicottville Central School

Off: tailback Def: safety
Height: 6’0” Weight: 190 lbs.

Zak plans to work toward a degree in engineering or business at a school where he can play college football. He was the eagles offensive MVP in 2010 and 2011 and the league’s offensive MVP in 2011. He was also an academic all star in 2011. Zak wants to play in the Big 30 Game to prove his abilities and play one more game at the high school level before going after his dream of playing college ball. He counts winning a double overtime game against Panama with an end zone interception and going over the 1,000 yard rushing mark as his most memorable times in football. Dirt bikes, four wheelers, mountain bikes and snowmobiles occupy much of his fun time. Fred Jackson and the Buffalo Bills are his NFL picks.

Aaron Burnside
Cameron County High School
Off: center Def: end
Height: 5’10” Weight: 195 lbs.

Aaron will enlist in the military after graduation and then apply for admission to the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. He was an Allegany Mountain League North All Star in 2010 and 2011 and an All State honorable mention at defensive end. In 2010 he led District 9 in sacks. Playing in the Raabe Classic is going to be really great because you get to play with all the great athletes you’ve played against. Aaron lists hunting, fishing and camping as his hobbies and Penn State as his favorite football team. Clay Matthews of the Packers is his favorite player. Beating Port Allegany in overtime his junior year was his biggest thrill.

Jim Agnew

Height: 6’0” Weight: 285 lbs.

Jim has not yet decided on a school or course of study but does plan to attend college. A three year varsity letter winner, Jim made all star teams both his junior and senior years. Jim sees the invitation to represent his school on New York’s all star team as the opportunity of a lifetime. He has a passion for the game and working with the guard next to him successfully posting and driving on a double team block is the greatest feeling in football. Hunting, fishing and collecting fishing lures are his leisure activities. His favorite teams are the Miami Dolphins and the Ohio State Buckeyes and Ray Lewis and Barry Sanders his favorite players.

Sawyer Dininny
Youngsville High School

Off: tackle Def: end
Height: 6’4” Weight: 220 lbs.

After graduation Sawyer plans to study biology at Edinboro University where he will play football. He hopes to then go to medical school and become a physical therapist. He has twice been named to all conference teams at offensive tackle and defensive end. Sawyer is anxious for the Raabe Classic to have the chance to play with and against the best athletes in the area. His biggest sports thrill was his undefeated senior season. Hunting, fishing and trap shooting are his favorite pastimes and Lamar Woodley and the Pittsburgh Steelers his NFL favorites.

The 39th Annual Don Raabe will be played Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Interstate Parkway Field in Bradford, and on 1490 WESB, 100.1 The Hero, WESB.com and 100.1TheHEro.com.
