Road Grader Rolls into Ditch

A road grader stalled and rolled backward into a ditch in Chautauqua County this morning.

Sheriff’s deputies say 26-year-old Timothy Cobb Jr. of Cassadaga was operating the grader on Swanson Road in the Town of Charlotte at just after 7 o’clock.

Cobb was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital for treatment of a back injury.

A Hazmat Team was called to the scene for a diesel fuel spill.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
