Alleged Wheelchair Thief Waives Hearing

A woman is accused of stealing property from Bradford Regional Medical Center and then, apparently, abandoning the plan when her getaway vehicle got stuck in the road.

The stolen property and the getaway vehicle are one and the same – a wheelchair.

27-year-old Mikki Stuckey waived her preliminary hearing today on charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct.

At around 5:30 a.m. on March 3 Stuckey was discharged from the emergency room after being evaluated for a shoulder injury and allegedly left with the wheelchair, according to papers filed in District Judge Dominic Cercone’s office.

She “began wheeling herself south on Interstate Parkway” until the wheelchair got stuck in a patch of gravel in the road in front of the hospital. She left the wheelchair in the road and started to walk home.

Stuckey is free on unsecured bail.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
