Catt County Man Dies in Chautauqua Co.

A 30-year-old South Dayton man is dead following an accident Saturday afternoon in Chautauqua County.

Police say Allen Jones was riding his motorcycle on Route 62 in the Town of Poland when he lost control on a curve, crossed the road and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said it's likely Jones missed the curve because he was traveling at an unsafe speed.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
