Kimberly Young Pens First Novel
Book Launch at BAPL Thursday
A book launch and meet the author reception will be held to celebrate the release of a local author's first-ever novel.
The launch party and wine and cheese reception will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Bradford Area Public Library for author Kimberly Young, who recently penned "The Eighth Wonder."
Young, known for her books on Internet addiction, just released "The Eighth Wonder," which takes place in Bradford around The Kinzua Bridge, once dubbed "The Eighth Wonder of the World."
Young, a professor at the St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, N.Y., tells the story of Nicole Benson, an ambitious, young college professor with dreams of teaching at an Ivy-League school, and Tom Ryan, a community-minded native of Bradford whose marriage of 23 years has been strained after the death of his daughter to leukemia.
"The Eighth Wonder" has a Bridges of Madison County quality as the two fall in love and their relationship transforms their lives.
Young lives in Bradford.
The event is free and open to the public.
