Work Planned for Route 155 in Emporium
Emporium – Work to improve the structure of the roadway, making for a smoother ride on Route 155 (Prospect Park Road), in Shippen Township, Cameron County, will take place Wednesday and Thursday this week. The contractor for the project will be excavating in front of driveways along the route and conducting patching operations.
Through traffic on this section of Route 155 will experience some short delays. The approximately 30 residents along the section of Route 155 – beginning at Meadow Road and continuing approximately 1.5 miles north – will experience longer delays as work will take place in front of driveways along the route. Crews plan to work in this area between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on both days.
All work is weather- and schedule-dependent. IA Construction Corp. of Franklin is the contractor on this project, which is part of a $4.9 million roadway improvement contract for Cameron and Potter counties.
