Road Work Starts Monday on Route 62

Intersection improvement work on portions of State Route 62 in Conewango and Pine Grove townships in Warren County is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 9.

The project will widen, add turn lanes, pave and make minor upgrades to traffic signals on State Route 62 near intersections at Jackson Run Road, the Warren Mall, Woodland Drive, the Pine Grove Ambulatory Surgical Center and Akeley Road.

Work is scheduled to be completed by the middle of October.

The contractor is Glenn O. Hawbaker of State College, Pa. The contract cost is $2,082,000. Eighty percent of the cost will be paid with federal funds, and 20 percent with state funds.

Traffic Impact: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in work areas and be controlled by flaggers during construction. PennDOT urges motorists to obey speed limits, stay alert and pay close attention to signs and flaggers in work zones. We ask motorists to avoid distractions and give their full attention to the road.
