Orthopedic Surgeon Coming to Bradford
Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) has announced that Jason Kinkartz, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine and experience with NFL and Major League Baseball teams, will join the BRMC staff on September 4. Dr. Kinkartz is re-locating from Denver, CO, and will join BRMC as a member of The Foothills Medical Group.
“This is a significant addition to the BRMC medical team and a major plus for the community,” said Timothy J. Finan, president and CEO of Bradford Regional Medical Center. “Dr. Kinkartz brings a wealth of special skills in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine to Bradford and Northwest Pennsylvania.”
“We are delighted Dr. Kinkartz chose to come to Bradford. He is very enthusiastic about relocating from Denver, starting his new practice and getting to know the community,” Mr. Finan said.
“I am passionate about orthopedics and the pursuit of excellence in the field, which I strive for in both the clinic and operating room,” Dr. Kinkartz said.
Dr. Kinkartz said Bradford is a great fit for him both professionally and personally. “I am very excited about becoming part of the Bradford community, and I look forward to promoting health and wellness in the area,” he said. “Bradford is the perfect fit for me--a beautiful town with great, friendly people, and an abundance of outdoor activities--all close to my hometown of Toronto, Ontario.”
Dr. Kinkartz earned his medical degree at Michigan State University, completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at University Hospital in Cincinnati, and then went on to pursue subspecialty fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver. He has been Assistant Team Physician for the NFL's Denver Broncos, as well as Major League Baseball's Colorado Rockies.
He is trained in comprehensive orthopedic care, including the areas of fracture management, joint replacement, foot and ankle surgery, and upper extremity surgery, with a particular interest in sports medicine. He is trained in the latest minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical techniques.
Dr. Kinkartz is now accepting patient appointments at 814-368-7777.
