Garrick Anderson

Garrick S. Anderson, 19, of 598 Derrick Road, Bradford, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, October 19, 2012 while at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born March 19, 1993 in Bradford he was a son of Kenneth A. and Christine G. (Stark) Anderson.

He was a 2011 graduate of Bradford High School where he excelled in soccer, lettering all four years. He was named to the Big 30 AllStar Soccer team in 2011. He was the place kicker for the Bradford Owls Football team his senior year. While in high school he was very active in the Automotive program and was chosen to work at the bus garage to further his automotive skills.

He was known to be a very hard worker. While in high school he worked for Ben Wentworth tending to yard and garden work and at the Sportsman's Outlet. After graduating he worked at American Refining Group and at the time of his death was employed at W.R. Case Cutlery. He was an assistant coach for the Fretz boy's soccer team. His passions in life included loud trucks, his grandfather Don's four wheeler, coaching soccer, spending time with his friends, and family dog Bubba-Jo. He attended the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church where he volunteered his time for the after school Kids Club, served as an usher and assisted in the video production for Sunday services.

Surviving in addition to his parents are two sisters, Laurissa (Shane) Locke of Smethport, and Leah Anderson of Bradford, one brother, Arthur (Liz) Anderson of Warren, his maternal grandmother E. Pearl Stark of Bolivar NY, paternal grandparents Donald and Adeline Anderson of Derrick City, one niece Rebecca K. Anderson, three nephews, Donald J. Anderson, Edward O. Anderson and Silas E. Locke, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Frealyn Stark who died October 17, 2005.

Family will be receiving friends Tuesday October 23, 2012 from 3-5 & 7-9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St., and again on Wednesday October 24, 2012 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church where at 11:00am funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. David Bunnell pastor officiating.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Garrick S. Anderson Scholarship Fund established at any office of Northwest Saving Bank or the charity of the donors choice.
