Sandusky Now is State Prison

Convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky is now out of jail and in state prison.

Sandusky was transferred from the Centre County Jail to the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill near Harrisburg today.

The 68-year-old former Penn State assistant football coach will be tested and evaluated before being assigned a security risk level and sent to one of the state facilities as his home prison. That’s expected to take at least a week.

Judge John Cleland sentenced Sandusky earlier this month to 30 to 60 years in prison for sexually abusing 10 boys over a 15-year- period. He is appealing his conviction.
