Teen Charged for Stealing ATVs, Cigarettes

An Austin teenager, along with a former Bradford woman and an Austin woman, are charged in connection with the theft of ATVs and other items from Potter County in August and September.

Earlier this week we told you that 20-year-old Ashley Gibson, formerly of Bradford, was charged with nine felony counts including conspiracy to commit burglary, receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking, and 18-year-old Shelby Lynn Snyder of Austin was charged with a total of six felony conspiracy charges and a charge of receiving stolen property.

A 15-year-old boy is charged with more than 15 felony counts related to the thefts of four ATVs along with gas cans, cigarettes and lighters from the Potter County Anglers Club. His case is being handled by the Potter County Juvenile Probation Department. State Police have confirmed that those cases are all related to thefts allegedly committed by 20-year-old Skyler Shaffer of Austin, who has been jailed since early September.

The four stolen ATVs have been recovered and returned to their owners.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
