Former Police Detective Facing Charges
A veteran Jamestown police detective, who resigned during an investigation into evidence tampering, has been charged in the case.
39-year-old Eric Corey is charged with official misconduct, which is a misdemeanor.
Corey resigned from the police department in September after an internal investigation revealed a number of cases where prescription pain killers were missing from the department’s evidence room.
Both of Jamestown’s city court judges have recused them from the case, but it hasn’t been assigned to another court yet.
