Gators Win!

The Port Allegany Gators beat Sharpsville 28-21 to move on in the PIAA football playoffs.

With 1:11 left go in the game and down by 1 point the Gators recovered a fumble. Matt Bodamer threw a touchdown pass to Tyce Miller, then a pass to Trey Miller for the 2-point conversion.

The Gators' next opponent will be Clairton, which extended its state-record winning streak to 61 games with a 53-0 victory over Berlin Brothersvalley tonight.

While Bodamer is the Pennsylvania Gatorade/USA Today Player of the Year, Clairton's QB is no slouch. During tonight's game Tyler Boyd broke the WPIAL career touchdown record. He has 114. He also rushed for 227 yards and scored five touchdowns.

Both Clairton and Port Allegany are 13-0.

Way to go, Gators!
