Playing Child Starts House Fire

A child “playing with fire” in the kitchen has been determined as the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a Dunkirk house early Tuesday morning.

The fire at 5:48 a.m. at 184 King Street had fully engulfed the house by the time firefighters arrived on the scene. The county fire investigation team and Dunkirk Police are continuing their investigation.
