Terror Before Dawn

"Terror Before Dawn" is a stirring memoir of World War II put together from letters written by Anne Raghnild Fagerberg, who lived through the war in Norway.

"My story begins when I was just a little girl, only four years old," she writes, "yet the horror of those years lingers within in me years later."

After Anne died of cancer in 1998 her son, William Sterling Williams, found a bag of her hand-written notes. He, and the rest of her familly, hd never heard any detailed war stories when she was alive but, he says, she wanted us to know her story -- and he wanted to share it.
