Vecchhiarella Wins Mayor's Race

Former Salamanca Mayor Carmen Vecchhiarella is now the mayor-elect.

The Democrat beat Republican Larry Butler by a margin of 52 percent to 48 percent. He will succeed Mayor Jeffrey Pond, who reached his term limit.

Vecchiarella previously served as mayor from 1998-2001.
