Kane Chamber to Honor
Citizen, Business of the Year

The Kane Chamber of Commerce will hold their Annual Banquet on Thursday February 21st at the Kane Fire Department to announce Citizen and Business of the Year.

The Chamber of Commerce received many nominations from the Kane Community; it was not easy to narrow down those nominations to the three nominees for Citizen of the Year: Jim Greville II, Larry & Connie Smith and Marilyn Blackmore.

The nominated Businesses of the Year include Zook Motors, Kane Volunteer Fire Department and Kane Hardwoods.

The banquet will honor all of these nominees with a presentation before announcing Citizen and Business of the Year. Tickets to the Annual Banquet are $15.00, which includes a three course meal. Social hour will begin at 5pm, dinner will be served at 6pm and presentations will follow.

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Tom Corbett today announced that agents from the Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, assisted by local police officers from across Erie County and the Pennsylvania State Police, are in the process of arresting 41 suspects linked to a nearly $5 million drug organization operating in and around Erie. Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
