Hospital Auxiliary Welcomes New Retail Business

The Bradford Hospital Auxiliary is pleased to announce a change of business from Sacks Resale Shop to Angel Kiddies, a new Bradford area business. Angel Kiddies will be an independently owned consignment shop.

For nearly 70 years, the Auxiliary has been host to resale shop under many different names. Sacks has been in business since 1998. “We sincerely thank the community for their patronage of Sacks over the years, whether it was by way of donations or purchasing of items,” said Virginia Hauser, Executive Director, Bradford Hospital Auxiliary. “We are truly thankful and grateful to the community for their many years of support.”

Sacks no longer accepts donations as of April 18, 2013; however, arrangements can be made with Angel Kiddies to accept clothing and merchandise. Angel Kiddies intends to carry similar merchandise as Sacks, with a concentration on children’s items.

“We welcome Angel Kiddies to the Bradford business community and wish them success,” Hauser said.

The Bradford Hospital Auxiliary supports the mission and vision of Bradford Regional Medical Center through fundraising and retail efforts. The auxiliary sponsors annual nursing scholarships to area students who express an interest in entering the profession, conducts several fundraising efforts both at the hospital and in the community and operates the HeartStrings Gift Shop, located in the main lobby of Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
