Cloey Anne Smith

Cloey Anne Smith, 12, of Arcade, NY, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 after a five year battle with leukemia in Roswell Park Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY.

Born August 13, 2000 in Springville, NY, she was a daughter of Casey Smith and Julia Root, who survive her.

She was a 7th grader at Pioneer Middle School in Arcade.

Cloey loved shopping, her dog Rufus and was very active with Carly’s Club at Roswell Park Cancer Center

In addition to her mother, Julia Root of Arcade, and her father, Casey (Cyndi) Smith of Bradford, she is survived by a brother, Darel Tingue of Arcade, NY; three step brothers, Nicolas, Nathan and Evan Franco, all of Bradford; maternal grandparents, Jacqueline Root of Franklinville, NY and paternal grandparents, Edward and Sandee Franklin of Freedom, NY and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends are invited to call from 2 PM to 7 PM Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 West Main Street, Arcade, NY where funeral services will be conducted at 7 PM.

Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to Kids and Cancer, PO Box 1299, Bradford; Roswell Park Cancer Center; Carly’s Club at Roswell Park Cancer Center or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Tom Corbett today announced that agents from the Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, assisted by local police officers from across Erie County and the Pennsylvania State Police, are in the process of arresting 41 suspects linked to a nearly $5 million drug organization operating in and around Erie. Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
